Cromhall with Charfield WI

There has been a Women's Institute in Cromhall since 1919. In 2003 we joined with Charfield to form Cromhall with Charfield WI.

We are a small institute with around 20 members meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm in Cromhall Village Hall.

Our meetings usually take the form of a short business section followed by a speaker and the evening ends with refreshments and time to talk with friends.

Visitors and prospective new members are welcome at any meeting, there is a charge of £2.00.

The present committee is:

Ann Greenhalgh, President, 01454 294200,

Ros Nieboer, Secretary, 01453 520222

Pearl Crooks, Treasurer, 01454 294792

Last year we enjoyed illustrated talks on Astronomy, Graphology, Paragliding, The Trans-Siberian Railway and the River Severn. We also saw demonstrations of patchwork, quilting and enamelling on copper.

For more information concerning Avon Federation of Women's Institutes to which we belong, see www.avonfwi.org.uk.
