1st Woodend Scout Group (Fury's Own)

Scouting offers challenge and adventure to 400,000 young people and 100,000 adults across the UK.

We do some pretty amazing things in Scouting, but for us, adventure is a way of life and not just an activity or expedition. Our Scouts grow in confidence by trying out new skills and stretching themselves.

1st Woodend Scout Group currently comprises just over 100 youngsters aged 6 to 14.

We have one Beaver Colony, one Cub Pack and two Scout Troops, all meeting in the Scout HQ (pictured), Talbots End, Cromhall, behind the Village Hall.

Although most of our members live in Cromhall or Charfield, many travel in from the numerous surrounding villages.

Meeting times

Beavers, aged 6-8, meet on Tuesdays 6.15-7.15pm

Cubs, aged 8-10½, meet on Wednesdays 6.30-8pm

Scouts aged 10½-14 meet on Mondays 6.30-8.30pm and Tuesdays 7-9pm

Explorers aged 14-18 meet on Thursdays 7-9pm

Unfortunately all sections are full at the moment and the only route in is through Beavers at age 6.

Can you help?

We do need more leaders to increase our sections. Please if you would like to help.
